Friend time

It is a RARE day

when I go out for dinner with friends!

Lunch, yes, but dinner??

THAT is a treat!

In this case, Caprese Sandwich (loved)

out on the patio in the waning hours of daylight.

It was so delightful.

After we finished, I heard music from behind me, 

and only then noticed what a quaint little area we were in.

This was such a fun photo to catch!

I loved our evening together.

What's cool...

...is when you look at your photo stream

and realize it is a living color visual representation

of all the good stuff on your calendar.

I love having those things to look forward to.

Couldn't wait for my brother and sister-in-law and nephew and his girlfriend

to get here after far too long away
so we could gather as much of the family together as possible.

It was kind of sad to move beyond those much anticipated dates on the calendar,

but I laughed just now as I scanned my photo stream and thought

 

HEY!

That's just what I visualized as I looked ahead on my calendar!

And now I can look back and enjoy it whenever I want to.

In hindsight.

That's summer for ya.

Sometimes the savoring...

...has to wait until later.
