Introducing...

I know...it's a lot of build up for a little guy, but if you know how long I've been fighting pet ownership, or that our kids adopted a pet centipede a few months ago because they were tired of waiting, you can appreciate what a big deal this is. Or at least how cute he is.

What fun! Such a cute video, Tracy, and somehow I'm not surprised that Kevin is an athlete!

Cute!
I hope Kevin doesn't turn out to be a mom with lots of other mouths to feed like a certain other Kevin...

I think it is funny that you are teaching him to roll into that football. Are you using pavlovian treats?

I can hear your thoughts. He's not a rat...he's not a rat...he's not a rat. He's really not! blessings, marlene

What wonderful lessons your kids will gain from this experience, as well as you too. We have learned through our experiences that animals, big or small, are all blessings that add special dimensions to each of our lives and God uses them in so many ways to teach us about ourselves and about Him. Enjoy!

YAY! for Kevin. Tracy this is so cute. I can't believe this video presentation to introduce the newest member of your household. This was awesome. He looks like quite the sport like his big bro. :) I can't believe how fast he is. He will provide lots of entertainment for you all as he already has. I'm proud of you for becoming a pet owner. You'll enjoy it. Atleast it is tiny poo. You can handle it.
How did he get his name?

Oh, fun! I can see you guys are having a blast with the little guy. I don't expect that he will be hurting for attention any time soon. Very cute video, Tracy.

How cute! Love how you put everything together. No wonder it took you so long. :) Love the name Kevin. My goodness but you have a lot of shoes! LOL. Very funny how you have him rolling between the shoes and the goal posts. You will have such enjoyment out of this little guy. He's very lucky to find a family like yours.

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies!

1. I do think he's adorable. That was never an issue, but rather, how much work will he be, how much will he stink, will the kids really take care of him, and will I regret it when I have one more thing to figure out when going away.

2. Ben has totally been envisioning hamster football for who knows how long. I'm waiting for the day it occurs to him to put his miniature Vikings helmet on him.

3. No treats were necessary--though the course definitely helped him head the right direction. Ben would tell you he's a natural. He is a "Robo" hamster--we were told the fastest kind (forget holding him!), but they pretty much never bite. He has started crawling around on us, though.

4. This was a great excuse to use my recently purchased video camera and iMovie upgrade to see what little tricks I can do. Pretty entertaining experiment, I must say.

So appropriate that Kevin's exercise ball is purple, huh? What a bundle of energy! Bet the kids are having a blast. Unlike moi on Sunday evening. To quote Yogi Berra (I know, wrong sport), it was like de ja vu, all over again...

that was so fun...lol I love your shoes making the course and all I could think about was Rhino in Bolt, since Eli loves that movie and him rolling around in the ball... awesome!
