My girls are crazy over insects too! They would have had that poor thing killed, by the time I got the camera.

Well, at first Bethany didn't think it was alive, so she was a little startled when it hopped off the stick. But it got back on, no problem. It's real, alright, but just think of it as a small bird. Definitely native to our neck of the woods. But beautiful!
