Jesus said, "Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

Thanks Tracy. I know that one well, but some days, I need friends like you to POST verses like this, because all I've got is ... well, that miserable piece I wrote today. Love my bloggy friends. Between us, we'll make up a useable Body of Christ.

Melissa, it's just that I had such a great time on this retreat, both learning and taking pictures. I only wish I had had time in the past week to blog my way through it. But my favorite is up next...
And the exhortation was more to rest than to worry about whether you are are humble or gentle like Jesus (although I could certainly stand to give that some thought, now that you mention it!). He is approachable, and he understands our burdens so completely.
I missed checking these out, I sure did miss something wonderful!
