A few years ago I promised never to subject the world to my stream of consciousness via Twitter, and I have kept my promise. (You're still welcome.) However, I have to confess that there are days when I find myself labeling the moment with a hashtag.
When we drive down south to visit our families, our tradition is to stop at the City Museum in St. Louis. This time we had to stop on the way home, January 2. Our kids were missing school that day, so I thought we would have the place to ourselves--not stopping to think that just because our schools went back on the 2nd didn't mean everyone else's did! #grossmiscalculations
Out of all the random things on all four floors of this sprawling place, Ben has always been intrigued by this world's biggest pencil. Presumably functional. On this day, he took paper in to do a "little" homework.
He wanted to make sure you actually could write with it--AND erase.
So he made the "world's biggest mistake". #grossmiscalculations
Satisfied. Enough homework for one day.
Here's hoping I get around to posting a few more trip highlights one of these days.
I thought I would have had that done by now.

That sounds like such a fun place...even if there are massive crowds there. I am glad you had a wonderful getaway with your favorite kids and your favorite husband.
I was #immenselyamused by this whole post. Go, Ben! And, ohmy, that place is just eye candy followed by more eye candy. Too bad it was so crowded!
:~) great post!
