I love long weekends.
It takes some down time to think about taking on a project.
I especially love colorful projects.
This one was all Bethany's idea.
She told me they shouldn't advertise these kits for little kids
because they're just frustrating.
Apparently she was reflecting on the last time she got this kit out.
Now she's old enough to succeed and enjoy it.
It reminded me of the little gem Lee and I got
from one of my second graders at the end of the year
that I was about to have my first baby.
When we asked them for parenting advice, this kid said simply,
"Don't rush 'em!"
I can't tell you how many times, how many different scenarios this has rung true.
Don't rush 'em, is right! It's SOOOO easy to forget though.
In other news that I'm sure you wanted to know,
(in case you missed it),
(in case you missed it),
the Tigers are indeed going to the World Series!
We've got one excited boy here!
