If you asked me about my favorite place to take photos,

it's wherever I feel small.

Lucky for me,

But most of all, stand in awe and wonder.

Today I am feeling small in a different place, in the middle of the Bible where Jesus is shining his light on some of the mysteries of God.  I'm supposed to teach it, but I can't even begin to take it all in.  At first my small feels like inadequacy, not in a good way.  But I sense this invitation from Him to be just as captivated and grateful as I would in the wilderness of creation. It's a moment to slow down in my study, look hard, and stand in awe and wonder. Then maybe my snapshot will help someone else want to venture in deeper too.

"Spirit of God
draw praises from us
here in this cathedral of creation
beneath this starry dome.
Awaken our adoration
in this place where
we are so very small--
and yet so greatly loved."

Worship. All this feels like beautiful worship.
