As we headed home yesterday after two weeks and 3000+ miles on the road,
I laughed openly when this sign jumped uninvited into my photo.
Blue skies and white snow are never a more welcome sight
than when they tell you your return to the familiar is beginning.
Can homeward ever be the "Wrong Way"?
It is certainly a good direction to be headed
as we begin a brand new year!
I love how the New Year signifies both a going and a coming.
Celebration and anticipation.
Or sometimes just a blessed clean slate.

with dreaming and planning and bold attempts and abundant grace.
It's so good to be home.

going home is a very good direction, indeed. tho, there's a lot to be said for beginning a road trip too! speaking of which, you probably have some blog catching up to do, 'cause I'm guessing you have some wonderful vacay pics!!
