Life is short. Eat dessert first.

I have two new favorite recipes.  They are good.  They are easy.
I had to decide which one to post first.
The clear answer?  Chocolate.
Always chocolate.

But before that, in the also sweet category...

...we stopped at this ginormous candy store.

They had a ridiculous amount of candy.

You name it, they had it.

They also had huge shelves filled with every imaginable kind of pop.

All the ones in these two pictures were root beer and cream soda.

Which made for one happy boy!

OK...now for the recipe.

Are you ready for this?

Brownie Cookie Cups

1.  Make a packaged brownie mix batter according to the directions on the box.
2.  Fill cupcake wrappers 1/2 full of batter.  (Approx. 20)
3.  Stick a piece of chocolate chip cookie dough in the center.
(Store bought or your own.)
4.  Bake at 350º for about 20 minutes.  Check and bake longer if needed.

Make them.
People will rave.

That recipe looks wonderful! Pop is 'soft drink' here, boring I know. (Pop=soda, right?) My kids call it 'fizz' anyway.

Most folks call every kind of soda a coke, even if it's pepsi. :) The dessert sounds wonderful! blessings, marlene

Fizz. Now that makes total sense to me!

Where is this store?

I'm a pop girl living in a soda world.

Mo once wrote me a poem for Mother's Day, two lines of which are:

"I love her more
than I like fizz"

Fizz by any name is sweet. Unless it's seltzer. Then it's yucky.

I really should sleep now. Or shut up.

But first, those brownie cookie thingies look amazing.

Mmm... I'm totally trying that sometime, if I work up the energy to make the brownies and cookie dough from scratch. Still, it looks very worth it! And here they call pop "cold drink"... I'm still getting used to it! :)

Oh this is funny! I posted this recipe before--only it was with cake batter instead of brownie batter. I like this better. Funny I forgot I had posted before though.
