Photo 52, Week 43: Treat
I made a monster cookie treat for my kids who are headed off on a youth retreat this weekend.
Both of them. Gone.
So inexperienced am I at sending my kids away
that this morning I never even THOUGHT about gathering Bethany's emergency meds to have ready.
After documenting about them extensively on the permission forms only a few days ago. Mom fail.
(Well, except for the making cookies part.)

The situation was quickly remedied. Thankfully.
So now Mom and Dad get a date night. Bonus treat!
While we are on the topic of treats,
Jack Frost came for a visit this week.
He has a way of making things so crisp
and sparkly.
Getting out and noticing before it all burned off for the day was truly a treat.
I am looking forward to trying a trick for next week. I have a couple of ideas up my sleeve:
Spooky Light Painting
(I was slightly less than successful with this one last year),

Which would you choose?
Oooh, even this obsessively summer loving girl can appreciate such beauty! Lovely photos - I esp love the frost on the berries and then the leaf (the one right after the cookies). Um, and the cookies - YUM!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a fantastic date night!! Yay!!
your winter pictures are always so lovely, but honestly, it seems like you've barely been out of winter this year!! and yum - lucky kiddos! those cookies look dee-licious :-)
ReplyDeleteOh yum, and I am hungry, can I stop by for some of these cookies and a nice cup of coffee and a chat?? And what lovely captures of Jack Frost and his ability to make everything look magical. Love it (especially the frost on the berries)
