Pinch me!

I'm afraid I might be dreaming.

I really love my old camera.  I do.  But I had a problem with my old camera.

You see, my old camera couldn't do this.

And it couldn't quite do this.

Or this or this.

It couldn't do this as beautifully.

And it most certainly couldn't do this or this or this.

As I was oohing and ahhing about my new camera,
I was telling Lee these things about my old camera.

You know what he said?

"I think it prefers to be called your point and shoot."

Fair enough.  I'm sure it will still be getting plenty of use.

Point and shoot, meet DSLR.

And let the good times roll!

  1. I was going "oh" and "ah" all through this post! My Canon doesn't go any lower than f=4.0 or 3.5 on a good day, so it can't do those wonderful things either!

Such crisp pics of the basketball inside! And bokeh to drool over! And what lovely skin tones - I'm sure I can't do it as well on mine.

  7. Wow, what a great purchase, can't wait to see more! My favorites: #1- indoor basketball, no flash, fast enough shutter to freeze the action, perfect exposure. #2- Rage, of course. #3- Beth, because she's cute, and I wouldn't want her feeling excluded. ;-)

  8. Love your use of depth of field and fast shutter speeds, Tracy. It looks like you're way more experienced with this camera than you are.
